Pro's Corner

Here are a few shots of a residential bar project in production in our shop.

In my next several posts I'll try to explain the tools and techniques we used to design, fabricate, finish, deliver and install this project.

I plan to address:

  • Drawing and design work, including layout and cut lists.
  • Fabrication, including: The curved bar wall, Inset beaded face frames, Miterfold columns, The back-lit bottle and glass rack, Fluting and beading, as well as a few other tips on hardware etc.
  • Finishing, including sanding, staining, glazing & spraying.
  • Delivery and installation, from basic techniques to "design on the fly!"
  • Getting paid.
