Accessories - DEWALT ANNOUNCES NEW IMPACT READY® SOCKET SETS


October 2009 – DEWALT, a leading manufacturer of industrial power tools and accessories, expands its line of IMPACT READY® accessories with the introduction of two 10 piece Socket Sets (3/8” Drive - DW22838 and 1/2” Drive - DW22812) that are designed to withstand the high levels of torque that corded and cordless impact drivers deliver. As the demand for impact drivers continues to increase on jobsites across the country, end users, including mechanical, electrical and residential contractors, require accessories that offer the durability to complete more fastening applications with impacts.

“Through our research, we estimate that North American sales of impact drivers have seen double digit growth in the last five years,” said David Lee, Group Product Manager of Accessories at DEWALT. “As a company that delivers industrial products that are driven by end users’ needs, the expansion of our IMPACT READY line aligns perfectly with what our professional users are asking for on jobsites nationwide.”

Unlike traditional sockets, DEWALT’s IMPACT READY sockets, drive on flats reducing breakage and offering increased durability. Additionally, the thin walls of the sockets were designed to allow end users access to tight spaces.

The IMPACT READY Socket Sets come in a portable storage case with enough room for eight sockets, two ¼” hex shank adaptors and a 10” hand wrench (wrench is not included). The storage case is made of heavy-duty, impact-resistant material to withstand jobsite abuse, and it is complete with pivoting organization pins to allow for application-based storage. With its compact size, the case is also lightweight for easy storage.
