2008 - DEWALT LAUNCHES NEW 38W CORDLESS/CORDED FLUORESCENT WORKLIGHT
June 2008 – DEWALT, a leading manufacturer of industrial power tools, today announced the launch of its cordless/corded fluorescent worklight (DC020), the newest addition to the existing family of DEWALT worklights. Available in September 2008, the DC020 is ideal for plumbers, electricians, mechanical contractors, general contractors, elevator technicians, installers, and punch-out crews. It can be used wherever additional lighting is required to complete applications, such as dark areas, crawl spaces, and basements.
The DC020 worklight has a 38W fluorescent bulb that is durable and offers longer life and generates a softer, brighter light. It also has a low amp draw and runs at a much cooler temperature when compared to halogen portable worklights that produce intense heat and glaring light.
The DC020 can be powered by AC power and all 12V-18V DEWALT batteries, including the DEWALT 18V NANO™ Technology batteries. For additional jobsite power solutions, the DC020 is equipped with two AC power outlets, which help to eliminate the need for additional power strips.
A pivoting support arm provides increased versatility, and the compact design allows the end user to easily transport, store and set up the worklight. For increased durability, the DC020 is designed with roll cage protection and a spring-loaded battery hold down to keep 12V-18V batteries securely in place.
