2008 - DEWALT UNVEILS 3/8" CORDED DRILLS
– New Drills Built to Maximize Durability, Power, Bit Retention, and Comfort –
January 2008 – DEWALT, a leading manufacturer of industrial power tools, announced the launch of its new line of heavy-duty 3/8” corded dills that provide increased performance in two handle grip styles: an all new mid-handle grip (DWD115K) and traditional pistol grip (DWD110K and DWD112). Available in February 2008, the new drills are designed to provide professional contractors with increased levels of power, durability, and comfort to complete heavy-duty applications.
DEWALT equipped the drills with a new larger, more powerful motor and 0-2,500 RPM for increased reliability and performance. The DWD115K offers 8.0 amps of power and features a durable all-metal keyless ratcheting chuck offering users increased bit retention.
DEWALT conducted jobsite research that determined that construction professionals seek more options in handle design and grip. As a result, DEWALT designed two versions of the 3/8” drill, one with a mid-handle grip and the other with a pistol grip, offering professional users increased comfort and the opportunity to choose the design that best meets their drilling and screw-driving needs.
