Was probobly one of Dewalts biggest fans until about two years ago. Had over thirty dewalt tools. All of them awsome. Still have most. The last two years everything I bought has broke gone bad or had to be replaced. Sawzalls breaking in two pcs. Cordless ones. Two times. This compressor is horrible. Theory and idea is great. Guages go bad and heads blow like crazy. I just had another go badwith under twenty hours on it. Used two be Makita was the best. In my opinion the next was Dewalt. I wont buy a tool from then again. Just look at the warranty they offer for this thing. That tells you their confidence in the unit. Oh yea the real little compressor they sell that looks similar. It rattles it self apart. Sorry Dewalt you dropped the ball. Been in bisiness 33 years. My trucks are going to have Dewalt removed and sold on craigslist.
I have used Dewalt tools for many years and have NEVER been disappointed until today. Bought this pricy compressor at Lowe's with a 4-yr warranty extension (Total = $350) Brought it home, read the instructions and then tried to set the regulator pressure as instructed and regulator knob came off. Plugged it in anyway and turned it on and the electric motor started but the the compressor never did.....i.e. 0.0 pressure after 10 minutes. I put it back in the box and took it back to Lowe's. Maybe I just got a bad one (or a returned bad one) but I'm REALLY disapointed. Now I'll try another make and hope for better luck.
Went threw 2 in one day, one was about 3 years old and the other was brand new, they couldn't take the heat and both belts snapped. The old one also had problems with the regualtor leaking had to mess with it
