Where can I locate the UL or CSA certification records on DEWALT and Porter Cable products?
UL and CSA are both third party labs that qualify as NRTLs under the OSHA program for Nationally Recognized Testing Labs. There are actually 15 labs that are equivalent in the eyes of the US government. They test to the same standards.
Below are the links to the CSA and UL free websites where anyone can search for the listed or certified model numbers through the "key word" search.
Note: Suffixes should not be used while searching for a model number. Example: DC411-KA should be searched by DC411 only.
There is an inadequate connection at the spot weld joints between the internal battery terminal and wire connected to the switch. These connections should probably be replaced with spade crimp terminals and a longer wire to prevent fatigue failure of the joints.
