this is a Great impact wrench ive used Snap on and matcos tools like this and this one by far out preforms the others and the battery life is awesome with the 4ah battery's its size beats the others and the lite is a added plus. Highly recommend this tool to the mechanics out there priced is great compared to the others. A++++ DeWALT on this tool
Please do not buy this laser. The major flaw in this unit is the pendulum does not lock for transportation. I have no idea why Dewalt would leave out such a critical feature. It just leaves me scratching my head. After receiving the unit I did the ‘Field Calibration Check’ as the manual suggested. I performed the tests at 30 feet. Test results as follows.
TEST Recorded Allowable
Horizontal Beam, Scan Direction 5/16” (8mm) 1/8” (3mm)
Horizontal Beam, Pitch Direction 1/2” (11mm) 1/4” (6mm)
Vertical Beams @ 10 feet 5/32” (4mm) 3/32” (2mm)
90 degree Accuracy @ 20 feet 5/16” (8mm) 7/32” (5.5mm)
Ok so the tests failed. Not surprised at all. I know the units are calibrated at the factory before shipping, but without the pendulum lock it is just going to get deranged during shipping. So I take it to the Dewalt factory service center for calibration. As the manual suggested. The Dewalt FACTORY SERVICE CENTRE (6275 Millcreek Dr, Mississauga, ON L5N 7K6) tells me they are not set-up to do calibrations. WTF? So now what? They take the unit and have a tech look at it anyways. On pick up, Dewalt tells me everything is working perfect, unit does not need calibration. Its brand new and it was calibrated at the factory. They compared it with a new unit and got the same results. I told the rep his unit needed to be calibrated as well. In the end Dewalt tells me I should return the unit back to Amazon. WTF? Basically Dewalt just told me it is a piece of crap and I should return it. So I took their advice and returned it back to Amazon.
Please do not buy this laser.
Pros: 3 Beams
Cons: No pendulum lock. Inaccurate. Poor customer support.
