I used a borrowed skill saw to built a shed, but got tired of waiting for the saw to be available. Purchased this saw with a 4.0AH battery, worked pretty good cutting aspenite and 2x4. After reading reviews, I purchased a 40T blade and this make a big difference on the saw,a lot smoother. No issue with the battery running down.
We used this to make a base for a small shed. It made 7 cuts on 2 x 4's and 4 long cuts on .5” plywood, all damp pressure treated lumber. The saw performed flawlessly and the 4.0ah battery still showed 3 bars. Very happy with this tool so far.
I felt like I had to write a review after the other negative ones. I live in Canada and just finished framing an entire house through the winter. We had a generator available but opted to use the battery circular saw instead of listening to a genny all day. The saw performed flawless. We call it the house the batteries built. We would go through 2 or 3 batteries during an entire day of framing... thats in minus 10 to minus 20 degree weather. It was even cutting through 6x10 fir. One of the best tool purchases I have ever made. Thanks DeWalt
I bought this thinking it was a good circular saw. I had a fully charged battery and started cutting some 2x4's. By the third 2x4, the circular saw stopped working. I replaced the battery with another fully charged battery and the same thing happened. Not happy at all. I can't use this product like this. Returning it ASAP.
