I purchased the DEWALT six tool combo kit with great anticipation of the powerful cordless 18V hammer drill and the cordless grinder. I am a metalworker by trade, and these proved to be a great investment.

But to be honest, I didn't hold out much faith for the cordless 18V impact driver that came with the kit. It just seemed small and somewhat whimpy to me. All this changes the first time I used it! The impact driver is now perhaps the most used tool in my kit!

Anything that has to be driven or screwed is done with this tool. Self tappers, lag bolts, anchors, tap-cons, you name it! The finesse this tool has allows me to run in smaller stainless steel fasteners without twisting them off.

The battery seems to last forever which is an added bonus. Likewise the quick-change chuck makes it easy to swap out bits in a hurry without miss a beat. I would recommend this to anyone who runs a lot of fasteners. Awesome tool!
