August 2007 – DEWALT, a leading manufacturer of industrial power tools, announced the launch of its heavy-duty 28V impact wrench (DC810KL) with NANO™ Technology. NANO™ Technology is a proprietary technology from DEWALT that combines maximum life, weight and performance in an ideal ergonomic package, helping to meet the jobsite needs of professional contractors. Available in October 2007, the DC810KL provides end users with a more powerful and durable impact wrench that weighs less than most 18V impact wrenches.

For increased comfort and control, DEWALT designed the DC810KL with a high-power, high-efficiency motor with replaceable brushes that provides increased levels of performance during fastening applications. A heavy-duty impact mechanism delivers up to 1,920 in-lbs of torque, enabling users to complete demanding jobsite applications, and a ˝” square detent pin anvil holds sockets securely to prevent breakage.

The DEWALT 28V impact wrench with NANO™ Technology features an exclusive battery that is designed with unique NANO™ Phosphate Lithium Ion cells that provide users with increased battery durability and cycle life, offering 2,000 recharges*. Internal testing evaluated the run-time of the DC810KL against other cordless impact wrenches and found that the DC810KL fastened an average of 46 3/8” x 3” lag screws into 4” x 4” pressure treated lumber. The testing concluded that the 28V impact wrench with NANO™ Technology has almost twice the run-time of a leading 18V impact wrench**.

DEWALT designed the DC810KL to weigh only 5 lbs, providing end users with a lightweight impact wrench to complete heavy-duty applications. For increased comfort and control, the DC810KL has an anti-slip comfort grip and a VSR control with an electric break that provides users with a full range of control for setting and removing fasteners. For increased speed and productivity, the DC810KL is equipped with a high-speed, all-metal transmission that delivers 0-2,400 rpm.

Available in October 2007, the DC810KL has the ability to complete a variety of extreme applications, such as setting concrete anchors, tightening couplings, as well as setting and driving flange and lag bolts. The DC810KL is ideal for concrete formers, mechanical contractors, plumbers, HVAC, deck builders and general contactors.
