Press Release
DEWALT LAUNCHES 28V HAMMERDRILL WITH NANO™ TECHNOLOGY – DELIVERING LONGER LIFE, LIGHTER WEIGHT, GREATER PERFORMANCE

September 2007 – DEWALT, a leading manufacturer of industrial power tools, announced the launch of its heavy-duty 28V hammerdrill (DC910KL) with NANO™ Technology. NANO™ Technology is a proprietary technology from DEWALT that combines maximum life, weight and performance in an ideal ergonomic package, helping to meet the needs of professional contractors. Available in October 2007, the DC910KL provides end users with a more powerful and durable tool that weighs less than most 18V tools.

The DC910KL is equipped with a DEWALT-built high power, high efficiency motor with an electric brake for maximum performance. Additionally, the DC910KL has almost 80 percent more power than the leading hammerdrills, with a power rating of 650 UWO*.

The DEWALT 28V hammerdrill with NANO™ Technology features exclusive batteries that are designed with unique NANO™ Phosphate Lithium Ion cells that provide users with increased battery durability and cycle life, offering 2,000 recharges**.

For increased durability, the DC910KL has a metal gear case and is built to withstand demanding jobsite applications and routine wear and tear. To further enhance the performance of the DC910KL, DEWALT equipped it with a ˝” self-tightening chuck that automatically tightens throughout operation, providing users with twice the bit-gripping torque of traditional keyless chucks. A patented three-speed transmission optimizes the speed applied to each application providing end users maximum performance for various heavy-duty applications. For example, first speed is ideal for use with hole saws and self feed bits when drilling large holes in wood. Second speed is ideal for use with auger bits or screwdriving. And lastly, the third speed is ideal for hammer drilling into concrete.

For added user comfort and control, the DC910KL has an anti-slip comfort grip and is lightweight, weighing 6.2 lbs.
