Press Release
Recall of DW368 and DW369 7-1/4" Circular Saws

IMPORTANT SAFETY NOTICE

In cooperation with the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, DEWALT Industrial Tool Co. is announcing a recall of its DW368 and DW369 7-1/4" Circular Saws (date code 200128-F through 200152-F). Under certain circumstances, it may be possible for the spindle on the saw to slip, causing the blade to contact with the lower guard, creating a possible risk of personal injury to consumers.

IS YOUR SAW INCLUDED?

  1. Check the model number--Is your saw a DEWALT Model DW368 or DW369?
  2. Check the date code--If the date code* is from 200128-F through 200152-F, then it must be repaired. Note: If the date code is followed by an "X", your saw has already been repaired.

    * The date code consists of 6 numbers followed by the letter "F" located on the bottom of the saw field case (see illustration above).

If your saw is included, STOP USING IT IMMEDIATELY. Call DEWALT toll-free for information about a free repair at 1-888-839-3559 between 8:00 a.m. and 4:30 p.m. Eastern Time Monday Through Friday or contact and/or visit your nearest DEWALT service center.
