Fine Woodworking calls DEWALT's DW746 "well-thought out".

By Fine Woodworking
February 2000

The staff of Fine Woodworking describe the DEWALT 746 as "solid" and "well-thought out." Featuring a cast-iron table mounted on a heavy-guage steel base, the DW746 is solidly built but compact as well.

The 746 also features a blade shroud and dust port for connection to a shop vacuum. And the fence has an extruded-aluminum face, which can be easily adjusted. According to the Fine Woodworking staff, the DW746 "sets a new standard for contractor's saws."
