DeWALT SITELOCK™ Wireless Communication Technology
The SITELOCK portable wireless alarm system uses wireless communication
technology, so there is no need to wire in the system or install a telephone
line. The center of the system is the DS100 base unit that
houses receivers and transmitters which:
-
Continuously monitors all the sensors on the jobsite
The base unit and sensors communicate using 900 MHz spread spectrum
communications which send messages across a bandwidth of at least 10MHz,
reducing interference and ensuring reliable communication. The base unit and
sensors can communicate at a range of up to 2000 feet for wider coverage and
superior reliability.
-
Communicate with the monitoring service when a sensor is activated
The base unit uses Cellemetry® technology to communicate with the monitoring
service. Cellemetry is a patented two-way wireless data network that uses the
standard cellular infrastructure to transport information through the United
States and Canada. Cellemetry is extremely reliable as it uses the cellular
control channels and has wide range of coverage due to the high transmission
power. As no phone line is required for operation, security is further
enhanced.
DURING AN ALARM
If a sensor is activated, a call is immediately placed to a monitoring service.
Depending on the service agreement plan selected, the monitoring service will
either notify you directly via text message or e-mail, or a live operator will
contact you. In certain jurisdictions the operator is authorized to contact the
authorities on your behalf.
