Rosie’s girls pre-apprenticeship program

A sisterhood of belonging

“Don’t let anyone tell you that you can’t.” Wise words that Teila Allmond holds dear from a middle school mentor. Now a union electrician, Teila has a chance to pay it forward as an instructor at Rosie’s Girls. The pre-apprenticeship program offers women a glimpse into the building and electrical industries—providing an alternative path after high school. It’s an option Teila wishes she had. Knowing the massive trades gap and untapped potential of women in the industry, it’s an option she won’t let the next generation of talented young women miss out on.
